An absorbing day of music and discussion celebrating the life and music of Alfred Schnittke.

Between two worlds: Alfred Schnittke

Leading exponents of Schnittke's work talk about, demonstrate and play through some of the composer's eclectic and often extrovert catalogue of composition, including his work for film, an in-depth selection of some of his chamber music, scholarly input from Goldsmiths, University of London, and culminating in the opportunity for informal discussion with the day's contributors.

Tickets can be bought for separate events (see separate listings) or for the full day. The £30 full day ticket covers four events, as follows. Please note that the £30 full day ticket does not include a ticket for the Free event at 9.15pm. You must reserve a ticket separately for this. (You can do this online if you are buying other tickets.)

10am-12pm | Purcell Room
A discussion of Schnittke's music and writings with contributions from one of the preeminent Schnittke research centres: the Alfred Schnittke Archive at the Centre for Russian Music, Goldsmiths, University of London.
