A performance of Britten's Billy Budd

The London Philharmonic Orchestra performs four operas at Glyndebourne Festival Opera during 2010:

Britten's Billy Budd (20 May-27 June), conducted by Sir Mark Elder and directed by Michael Grandage; Verdi's Macbeth (13 June-24 July), conducted by Vasily Petrenko and directed by Richard Jones (reviving Geoffrey Dolton's 2007 production); Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel (25 July–28 August), conducted by Robin Ticciati and directed by Laurent Pelly (reviving Stéphane Marlot's 2008 production), and Stravinsky’s The Rake's Progress (8–29 August), conducted by Vladimir Jurowski and directed by John Cox.
